The Build Process
You can follow our first build project in a series of videos we made as we went along. Our first hut, The Spriggan, was made to order and custom designed. We've listed materials and methods used in the videos.

The Chassis
Day One - we took delivery of our chassis and moved into our barn to build!
Building the Roof
Internally, the roof was made with 3 layers of 18mm ply to make the ribs.

Painting the inside
The Spriggan Hut is painted internally with coats of MDF sealant, undercoat and finally, Farrow&Ball top coats.
Internal Storage Benches
The benches for the dining area are perfect for hidden storage.
The Walls
Beginning the wall framing and
initial wiring.

Internal Cladding
The internal cladding with made with MDF board with groves cut to give the effect of tongue&groove but without the limitations of the style. This way, the walls, once painted, are flawless.
Windows and doors
This hut had double hardwood doors, and 2 hardwood windows.
King-Sized Sofa Bed
This extra-wide sofa is great for sitting by the window with a book, and extends to a luxury king-sized bed.
The insulation
Once all the walls are up, the insulation
(the same as under the floor) goes in
to make it super snug and warm in winter and cool in the summer.
External cladding
External cladding - traditional corrugated tin. This hut had slate blue/grey with contrasting goosewing grey barges, and matching roof.

The Flooring
The flooring gets fitted. This time, it's an oak-effect laminate - excellent for muddy boots and easy cleaning!
Curved Oak Beams
This is one of our favourite elements of the Spriggan hut - the Solid oak, curved beams that transform the ceiling.
